Domain Name System

Sir Tom taught us about Domain Name System.




Domain Name System-is a hierarchical distributed naming system for computers, services, or any
resource connected to the Internet or a private network.

Domain - contains a group of computers that can be accessed and administered with a common set of rules.


Examples of Domain Names:
-.com
-.net
-.org
-.biz
-.info
-.ph



Subdomain – a domain within a domain


 Domain Name Space-provide name server operations and identify domains that are at different levels.
